That was my very first day at school aged 4 and a half.

The primary school I started my education at was somewhat progressive and focused more on creativity and expression rather than the three ‘R’s’  as it were.

My then teacher would take us outside and we’d sit under a willow tree while she’d read stories to us.

I can’t remember much about her nor the stories, but I will forever remember that tree.
